This foundational cinnamon tea recipe uses Ceylon cinnamon and precise water temperature to maximize thermogenic benefits. Includes five targeted variations for morning metabolism, appetite suppression, detox, nighttime fat burning, and sweet cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick (approx. 8 cm / 3 inches)
  • 250 ml (1 cup) filtered water
  • Optional: 1 small pinch pink Himalayan salt
  • For Morning Metabolism Kickstart: 1 cm fresh grated ginger, juice of half a lemon
  • For Appetite Suppressant: 1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp raw honey
  • For Detox Blend: 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 small pinch black pepper
  • For Nighttime Fat Burner: 1 chamomile tea bag
  • For Sweet Craving Killer: 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract, 2-3 drops liquid stevia

Instructions

  1. Bring water to 90 to 95 degrees C (let boiling water rest 60 to 90 seconds off heat).
  2. Add the cinnamon stick and simmer covered for 10 minutes. If using powder, steep covered for 5 minutes.
  3. Strain into your mug and cool to drinking temperature.
  4. If using a variation, add the variation ingredients before straining or after straining as indicated in the recipe notes.
  5. Add one small pinch of pink Himalayan salt (optional) for electrolyte balance.

Notes

For the Morning Metabolism Kickstart, add grated ginger and lemon juice to the steeping water. For the Appetite Suppressant, stir in ACV and honey after straining. For the Detox Blend, add turmeric and black pepper to the simmer. For the Nighttime Fat Burner, steep chamomile tea bag together with cinnamon for 7 minutes. For the Sweet Craving Killer, add vanilla and stevia after straining. Maximum 2 cups per day. Use only Ceylon cinnamon to avoid excessive coumarin.
