  • DietVegan, Gluten Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 ml filtered water (about 2 cups)
  • 10 grams fresh ginger root, grated (about 1.5 teaspoons)
  • 300 mg Pink Himalayan salt (about 1/6 teaspoon)
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice (from half a lemon), optional

Instructions

  1. Grate the fresh ginger root using a fine grater or microplane.
  2. Heat the filtered water to 50–60°C (120–140°F). Do not boil.
  3. Add the grated ginger to the warm water and let it steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the Pink Himalayan salt until fully dissolved.
  5. If using, mix in the fresh lemon juice.
  6. Pour into a glass. Optionally garnish with a lemon slice or mint leaf.
  7. For a chilled version, refrigerate for 30 minutes or serve over ice.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ginger over powdered. Adjust salt quantity based on personal sodium needs. Consult a healthcare provider if you have hypertension, are on medication, or are pregnant/nursing before regular consumption.
