Ginger Turmeric Lemon Pink Salt Shot

Recipe by Molina

My grandmother always started her day with a potent, golden elixir, and now I understand why. This ginger, turmeric, lemon & pink salt shot is my own vibrant ritual, delivering a sharp, earthy kick that instantly clears the morning fog. It is the ultimate kitchen shortcut to feeling grounded and energized, a tiny powerhouse that fits into any schedule. Forget complicated wellness routines; this is about a simple, potent sip that works.

  • Yield1 serving 1x
  • DietVegan

Ingredients

Scale
  • A 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • A 2-inch piece of fresh turmeric root, peeled (or 1 teaspoon high-quality turmeric powder)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
  • A tiny pinch (about 1/8 teaspoon) of finely ground pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prep the Roots: Give your ginger and turmeric a good scrub under water. Use the edge of a spoon to easily scrape off the thin skin. Chop them into rough chunks to help your blender out.
  2. Blend with Liquid: Add the chopped ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, pink salt, and 1/2 cup of water to your blender. Secure the lid tightly.
  3. Power Blend: Start on low and gradually increase to the highest setting. Blend for a full 45-60 seconds, until the mixture looks completely smooth and frothy. If it seems too thick for your blender to process, add the extra 1/4 cup of water.
  4. Strain for Smoothness: Place a fine-mesh strainer or a nut milk bag over a bowl. Pour the blended mixture through, using a spoon or spatula to press down firmly on the pulp. This extracts every last drop of potent juice.

Notes

For maximum absorption, add a generous pinch of black pepper. The lemon juice acts as a natural preservative. Store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
