This simple morning drink is a hydration and electrolyte tonic designed to support digestion and metabolism. It combines warm water, fresh lemon juice, and finely ground Himalayan pink salt for a balanced start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz warm filtered water (about 160°F / 70°C)
  • 1/4 tsp finely ground Himalayan pink salt
  • Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon (about 1 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. Heat water until it is warm like tea, approximately 160°F (70°C).
  2. Place the finely ground Himalayan pink salt into a glass.
  3. Add just enough warm water to cover the salt (about 2 oz) and stir vigorously until all salt crystals are completely dissolved.
  4. Pour in the remaining warm water and the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  5. Stir once more to combine and drink immediately.

Notes

For best results, drink this tonic first thing in the morning and wait 15-20 minutes before eating breakfast. If you are sensitive to sodium, start with 1/8 tsp of salt. Always use finely ground salt to ensure it dissolves properly.
