Recipe by Molina

A concentrated, mineral-rich tonic designed to kickstart hydration and digestion. It combines fresh lemon juice with pink Himalayan salt and warm water for a quick, energizing morning ritual.

  • DietVegan, Gluten Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • Juice from 1/2 large fresh lemon (about 1 tbsp or 15 ml)
  • 1/8 teaspoon finely ground pink Himalayan salt (about 0.5 g)
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) warm water (100–110°F / 38–43°C)

Instructions

  1. Warm the water to the specified temperature, using a thermometer if needed.
  2. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into a small cup or shot glass, avoiding seeds.
  3. Add the pink Himalayan salt to the lemon juice and stir briefly to begin dissolving.
  4. Pour the warm water over the lemon-salt mixture and stir gently until the salt is fully dissolved.
  5. Consume immediately as a shot, holding it on your tongue for a moment to taste the layers before swallowing.

Notes

For a sweeter, less tart flavor, use Meyer lemons. Adjust salt to 1/16 tsp if sodium-sensitive. To protect dental enamel, consider using a straw or rinsing your mouth with plain water after the shot.
